Minister Israel Onova, is the pioneering artist at Innova Muzik, whose journey in ministry is rooted in a deep-seated passion for gospel music. He was raised amidst the resonant melodies of gospel hymns, that formed part of the soul-stirring rhythms and uplifting lyrics that permeated his upbringing. While growing up as a young man in Lagos Nigeria he held in high esteem figures such as Ron Kenoly, Don Moen, Paul Wilburn, Donnie McClurkin, Fred Hammond, and Marvin Sapp, men whose music have made tremendous impact in his music. Minister Onova recognized a divine calling to disseminate the message of faith through music.
From an early age, it became apparent that Minister Onova's destiny lay in utilizing his voice—a vessel of warmth and sincerity—to embark on a musical odyssey that would resonate with countless souls. Despite undertaking a brief detour for self-discovery, Minister Onova remained steadfast in his devotion to music, guided by a profound sense of purpose nurtured through various phases of ministry, including teaching in the children's ministry, participation in the praise team, and leading a prayer ministry for several years.
With an unwavering desire to share his musical gifts with the world, Minister Onova dedicated years of diligent effort and unwavering commitment to craft his debut EP, aptly titled "Manifest." The album comprising six tracks, including poignant compositions such as "Jehovah Reigns," "Most High," "You Alone," "Sing Hallelujah," "Manifest" and "I Will Praise," this album represents a culmination of Minister Onova's spiritual journey and artistic expression.
I draw inspiration from faith in God. For me, music is fueled by a desire to uplift and inspire others through my revelatory understanding of the Christian message. I am further influenced by the lives and experiences of those around me, so this make me incorporate themes of hope, love of God, and perseverance into my music. Through my songwriting, I strive to share the message of God's grace and the impact it has on my own life.
